Dave Novak, Co-President of CD&R, recently appeared on the Money Maze Podcast to discuss the evolution of private equity over the past four decades, and how it can drive business efficiency and value creation.
Speaking to Simon Brewer, Co-Founder and Host of the Money Maze Podcast, Mr. Novak highlighted the various ways private equity can drive growth through the release of strategic capital and partnering with management teams and family owners:
“Private equity is facile at efficient capital structures. Getting the mix of debt and equity right to facilitate growth, and having a governing mechanism, is important. You can work very closely with the management team, agree on strategy, agree on tactics, and go forward together.”
