Vindi Banga, CD&R Operating Partner, spoke at the Davos conference hosted by the World Economic Forum. The panel, moderated by Andy Serwer, Editor-in-Chief of Yahoo Finance, focused on trends shaping M&A activity and included perspectives from Peter Orszag, Chief Executive Officer-Financial Advisory at Lazard, and Luisa Gómez Bravo, Global Head of Corporate and Investment Banking at BBVA SA.
Mr. Banga discussed the integral role of private capital in this environment, noting “There is a lot of change outside. The question is, are corporations moving fast enough? When people are thinking about changing their portfolios, changing their strategies - even if it is changing their global balance between Europe and America – this is going to lead to the need for transition capital and I believe private equity brings all of that.”
