Dave Novak, Co-President of CD&R, spoke with Dushy Sivanithy, Managing Director and Head of Secondaries at CPPIP, at Sahar Global Summits’ 5th Annual Private Equity and Secondaries Investor Summit. Mr. Novak discussed the asset classes’ growth and the implications on returns, transaction types, value creation tools, and public perception.
“We believe private capital has continued to scale over time, driven by demand for capital from businesses that can benefit from aligned incentives, direct interaction with knowledgeable and experienced investors, and laser focus on strategy and operational improvement,” said Mr. Novak. “We believe these elements are particularly relevant to the current environment as companies seek to navigate strategic issues such as ESG, diversity, and digital transformation.”
Mr. Novak joined CD&R in 1997 and has spent the majority of his 25-year tenure with the Firm based in London. He is responsible for the Firm’s European business and international activities.
